Rich began his career in the insurance industry in 1972 with Travelers, and from 1975 to the present, Rich has been employed by Simkiss & Block. As a Principal of Simkiss & Block, his responsibilities as Executive Vice President are primarily focused on client and carrier relationship management, business development and sales. He is a 1972 graduate of Bloomsburg University, and a member of The Chartered Property Casualty and The Chartered Life Insurance Institutes.

Rich has been married to Cathy Decker for nearly 30 years, and resides in Gulph Mills, Pennsylvania. They are the parents of James, Kelly, and Stephen Decker. Rich’s interests include golf, travel, reading, the theatre, and music and he is active in the community including participation on boards and committees of various cultural organizations.
